What are Lifestyles? Part 1

Definition:  A way of life or style of living that reflects the attitudes and values of a person or group coping with their physical, psychological, social, and economic environments on a day-to-day basis. Lifestyle is expressed in both work and leisure activities, interests, and opinions.  It is influenced by factors such as culture, family, and social class.

In this article we will be viewing teens, baby boomers, and seniors....

Teens and their lifestyle, of course varies but almost all spend quite a bit of time online, mostly talking to friends. They're online primarily at night, researching for school and communicating in the down time after homework's done.

The increased independence baby boomers and seniors will enjoy because  of technological change is unprecedented.

Baby Boomer’s lifestyle is unique and requires the attention of everyone. They are caught in a huge time warp. They have seen more change than any generation. They were the first generation to be raised on TV. As they near retirement, it will have a vast effect on the country as a whole.  It has been one of hard work and honesty. They've been taught that in order to get any where, you must be dedicated. As a result, they now have a lion's share of the resources in this country. Now that they have worked hard, they are ready to play hard.

Some have already begun to retire; a total of nearly 78 million will retire in the very near future. This major swing in the workforce will account for a major shock to nearly every form of industry and the needs of the country will shift drastically.

Lifestyle for Seniors currently live in assisted living residences. Assisted Living residents range in age, income & frailty. A typical resident is a widowed or single woman in her eighties. Facilities may offer specialized care for Alzheimer's disease or other memory disorders. Residents may also need help with incontinence or mobility.

Many seniors are researching where to retire.  What is available and many other questions they need answers to.
